The Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA) recognises the achievements of students who are on individualised learning programs. At TCLC, we aim for all of our exiting year 12 students to obtain a QCIA when they graduate.

The certificate is an official record that students have completed at least 12 years of education, and provides students with a summary of their skills and knowledge that they can present to employers and training providers.

The QCIA records the student's educational achievement in two categories:

The statement of achievement

This shows achievement information under the curriculum organisers of;

  • communication and technologies

  • community, citizenship and the environment

  • leisure and recreation

  • personal and living dimensions

  • vocational and transition activities.

The statement of participation

This lists activities that a student has undertaken, for example, community-based learning, work placement or work experience, extra-curricular activities, community access programs or mentor programs with employers.
