Welcome Back to the 2013 School Year

The first day of each school year can be a daunting experience for any student but when you move to a new school it can make the experience even more overwhelming. The 2013 school year heralded the arrival of 18 new students at TCLC, eager to begin or continue their school experiences.  The new arrivals have enrolled in classes from Prep to Year 12 and come from across QLD, NSW, NT and VIC. Welcome Jayr, James, Jonah, Hayden, Shakira, Adrian, Brodie, Jesse, Sabrina, Joshua, Mitchell, Miyu, Harley, Bailey, Isabella, Alex, Tate and Kalinda.

Parents and carers can also be worried about the number of changes that a new school brings: new routines, different classrooms and unfamiliar teachers and peers. In classrooms, it was evident that new friendships were being formed and common experiences were being shared.

For those students for whom TCLC is already ‘their’ school, it was great to see the welcome they provided for the newcomers.  2013 will be an exciting year with great programs planned and an enthusiastic and dedicated staff to implement them.
