Senior Leadership Ceremony

23/02/2012

The senior leadership ceremony held on Monday 20th February marked a special milestone for our nine Year 12 students who were presented with their senior badges in front of supporting parents, families and school friends.

Principal Christine Dawes addressed the assembly and spoke about what it means to be a school leader at TCLC.  She mentioned three things:

To be a school leader, you have reached the highest school year level possible.

To be a school leader, you are an important role model for all the students at TCLC – a big responsibility. You follow the school’s Cool Tools and help others follow the school’s Cool Tools. In turn the younger students will look up to you as they are today.

Finally, being a school leader is about continuing to have fun as this is your last year of school and you’re living some of the best years of your life.

At the ceremony, the 2012 Sports Captains for the Turtles and the Frogs sporting teams were also presented to the school.  Turtles Captains are John (Year 11) and Sadie (Year 12) and Frogs Captains are Stevie (Year 11) and Kevin (Year 12). Congratulations from the school community for being recognised as leaders on the sports field.
