Official Opening of our New Library

11/06/2012

On Tuesday 05 June, Queensland Senator Jan McLucas visited our school to officially open the $925,000 library in a special ceremony. The new library is a very welcome addition to the school and was built as a result of the Australian Government's Building the Education Revolution.

Several student representatives in the school were invited to talk to the assembly about the new library and to share many resources that have been recently purchased and were on display. Some of these include: the National Secondary Schools Computer Fund (NSSCF) laptops, the interactive whiteboard and the many new books, CDs and DVDs. The student representatives for the day were: Leigham from the Junior School, Dalton, Emily and Joshua from the middle school and Rhiannan from the senior school. Following the ceremony the invited guests had morning tea outside the new library.

The library is a very welcome addition to the school and will be used extensively by staff and students for years to come.
