News from E4

16/09/2011

E4 have had a busy and exciting term. As a part of our SOSE and English studies we have been learning about our school and the people who work here. We walked around the school investigating buildings that we normally wouldn't access. We even went into the staff room and sat at the table where the teachers eat their lunch. Armed with cameras, a big Mac button and lots of questions we set out to meet the staff of TCLC to find out about their jobs.

We visited Joy in the office and asked her questions and she showed us how to use the photocopier. Next we headed to see Claudia, the school nurse. She taught us a song about the importance of hand washing. Meg, the TCLC physiotherapist got us moving our bodies and playing lots of fun games. Brian, our school groundsman showed us some of the tools that he uses and he let us sit on his tractor. Finally we visited the TCLC senior classes and they showed us their amazing worm farm. After each of our visits we went back to class and wrote recounts and created photo stories about our experiences.
