My Say Survey

15/11/2012

Parenting a child with a disability comes with exceptional challenges.  How do you know what’s best and what works?

Researchers from The University of Queensland, The University of Sydney and Monash University are undertaking the Stepping Stones Triple P project which will evaluate the effectiveness of the Triple P’s Stepping Stones parenting program.

Parents have an opportunity to have their say by completing a survey.

It is a unique opportunity to share your child’s experiences as well as your own, state whether you’re getting enough parenting support and share what types of support you would like to receive.

The researchers will use your views to deliver a parenting program in ways that suit families across Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.

As part of the project, from early 2013 almost 20,000 Queensland families who have children aged between 2 and 12 with a disability will have free access to Stepping Stones.

If you have a child with a disability, aged 2-10, go to the My Say website and help improve parenting services for your family.
