International Day of People with Disability

The school assembly on Friday 2nd December had a two-fold purpose:
• To mark International Day of People with Disability
• To acknowledge the significant contribution made by community members to our school in 2011.

International Day of People with Disability reminds us that although we may think, see, communicate or move differently to others, we have many Abilities to celebrate.  Students at TCLC show their strengths by working hard in their classrooms and being helpful to friends.

The many community members who contribute time, expertise or resources to enrich the programs at TCLC was also highlighted on assembly. Community members have supported the school in 2011 by:
• providing work experience opportunities to senior students
• providing resources for play-based programs in the junior school
• sharing their expert knowledge in the areas of sport, self-defence and social skills
• being reading tutors
• assisting in the delivery of community newspapers
• giving their time to assist in class programs

We say thank-you and acknowledge your contribution to TCLC

The Students of the Month for November were:
Nolan from junior school
Joel from middle school
Emma from middle school
Millie from senior school

Congratulations for following the school rules in the classroom and the playground.
