Harmony Day

To celebrate Harmony Day a whole school assembly was on Wednesday 19th March. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the school were recognised for their rich contribution to TCLC and the Townsville community.  We also acknowledged students and staff who were born overseas.  It was amazing to see that we have people who are part of our school community from England, Scotland, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Iran, Papua New Guinea, Brazil, the Philippines, America, and Portugal. Students and staff placed their name on their place of birth on a world map.

The School Warriors, a group of senior students who help publicise our school community and watch how we use our carbon footprint, asked the school community to contribute to a foyer display that they planned and constructed about Harmony Day. TCLC students have been looking at the faces on display, trying to find their own and that of their classmates ever since.
