Challenge Games

The 2015 Challenge games are over for another year and each one seems to be getting bigger and better! TCLC had around 100 students attend the games which were held on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th of July.

The purpose of the Challenge Games is to provide two days of fun, friendship and participation in a range of sports and fun activities. These included running, jumping, ball games, throwing plus many other fun/novelty activities. Students participated in as many or few events as they wished, according to their own level of interest and ability.

Whilst the aspect of fun and participation will remain the focus of the games, it also allows for the identification of students from all schools, state and private, who may be interested in competing at further school, regional or state levels in formal track and field events. Two students from our school qualified for regionals.

We were very fortunate this year to have the assistance of many volunteers and JCU education and OT students.  It was a great opportunity for the students to take part in this activity as it is directly related to their studies.
