Challenge Games 2013

For two days in July every year, TCLC students participate in the Challenge Games. The purpose of the Challenge Games is to provide fun, friendship and participation in a range of sport and fun activities for school students who have a disability.

TCLC students participated in activities which included running, jumping, throwing and team events plus many other fun/novelty activities. Some of our students participated in the invitational events which enables students to compete at further school and regional level.

In the weeks prior to the Games, TCLC students practised each of the sporting events each week under the leadership of the Sports co-ordinator at TCLC, Angie Bathesby. They not only learnt many new skills but also the value of teamwork and participation.
The Challenge Games is a celebration of each student’s sporting ability.  Everyone is a winner and going by the number of ribbons on each student’s shirt, the two days brought a sense of achievement and pride to all.
